Superstition institutionalized in India
Support for beliefs in witchcraft and black magic in India comes from many gurus, perhaps most notably the baba Satya Narayana Raju known as Sathya Sai Baba, who is supported right to the top of Indian society, including by P.M. Manoman Singh and by many former Prime Ministers and Presidents.
The Indian Skeptic continues to publish accounts of gruesome consequences of this belief for ordinary Indians throughout most parts of the sub-continent
